JNEFは、脳神経外科診療に関するあらゆる領域の基礎・臨床研究を英語で発表し、その発表の内容について教育的なフィードバックを得ることが出来る貴重な機会です。
どうぞ奮ってご応募ください。演題登録に際して、JNEFでは以下の通り、植村研一先生よりご指導いただいた注意点を大切にお伝えしております。
タイトルや発表内容を見直し、検討される際に、ぜひお役立てください。

JNEF演題登録に関する注意（まずはじめにお読みください）
植村研一名誉教授からの注意点を下記に明示します。ご一読の上演題登録をお願いします。
JNEFはもともと、国際学会での発表や世界一流誌への投稿のための勉強会です。そのためには、日本の学会での悪い習慣を止めて、国際学会の慣習に従うことを学ばなければなりません。

表題には日本の学会で愛用(70%以上)されている「表示的表題」"Indicative Title" (研究テーマの提示)は国際学会や世界一流誌では一切採用されず、国際的には「内容的表題」"Informative Title" (研究成果の明示)のみが採用(100%)されています。例えば「くも膜下出血後の血管攣縮の要因について」などが典型的なindicative titleで、これに対して「くも膜下出血後の血管攣縮の要因としてのproteinkinase C」が典型的なinformative titleです。

1. informative titleでの演題登録をお願いします。タイトルを工夫してください。
抄録には研究の目的、材料と方法、研究の結果と結語が含まれることは常識ですが、これだけでは少しでも専門外の研究者は十分に理解できません。
2. そこで、研究の目的の前に問題の背景の端的な説明、抄録の最後の結語に価値判断を追記しているか、自身でご確認ください。
くも膜下出血後の血管攣縮の要因がprotein kinaseCであるとの結語に続いて、従って将来治療薬が開発されることになるなどの価値判断の追記があれば、専門外の研究者にも結語の重要性がよく理解できます。
3.症例報告の場合には、いきなりの症例提示から初めてはならず、なぜその症例を発表する必要があるのかの背景問題と目的を明示し、結語の後に、その症例報告の価値判断を追記してください。

下記の要領にてA4用紙一枚に収まるように作成を御願い申し上げます。
1. 様式 タイトル、発表者、所属、本文、Key words
2. ソフト MS word
3. フォント Times New Roman
4. サイズ 12 points
5. Key words 通訳に役立つものを英語・日本語で10個程度
※注1）すべて英文で、タイトル50 words以内、本文は250 wordsが目安です。
※注2）本文は、Objective, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusionなどに分けてわかりやすく作成してください。


受領通知および採択
演題送付後、5日以内に受け取りの返事が届かない場合は、学会事務局まで御連絡をお願いいたします。演題の採否は6月中旬頃を予定しております。
採択結果・セッションなどにつきましては、会長にご一任ください。

We hope you will find this information useful when reviewing and considering your title and presentation.

Notes on JNEF abstract submission (please read first)
The following notes from Professor Emeritus Kenichi Uemura are clearly indicated. Please read them carefully before submitting your abstract.
JNEF was originally a study group for presenting at international conferences and submitting to the world's leading journals. To do this, we have to learn to follow the conventions of international conferences.

Indicative titles (presentation of the research theme), which are used by Japanese academic societies (more than 70%), are not adopted by any international academic societies or world-leading journals, and only informative titles (clarification of research results) are used internationally (100%). The following are examples of such title, "Factors contributing to vasospasm after subarachnoid haemorrhage" is a typical indicative title, whereas "proteinkinase C as a factor contributing to vasospasm after subarachnoid haemorrhage" is a typical informative title.

1. please register your abstract with an INFORMATIVE TITLE.
Please devise a title. It is common knowledge that the abstract should include the purpose of the study, the materials and methods, the results of the study and the conclusion, but this alone is not sufficient for a researcher with even the slightest non-expertise.
2. therefore, please check yourself whether you have added a brief description of the background to the problem before the objectives of the study and a value judgment in the concluding remarks at the end of the abstract.
A concluding statement that protein kinase C is a factor in vasospasm after subarachnoid haemorrhage, followed by an additional value judgment, e.g. that a therapeutic agent will therefore be developed in the future, would help non-expert researchers to better understand the importance of the concluding statement.
3. In the case of a case report, do not start with an abrupt presentation of the case, but clearly state the background issues and purpose of why the case needs to be presented, and add a value judgment of the case report after the conclusion.

Please prepare the following instructions to fit on a single sheet of A4 paper.
1. format Title, presenter, affiliation, text, Key words
2. software MS word
3. font Times New Roman
4. size 12 points
5. Key words About 10 key words in English and Japanese that are useful for interpretation.
※Note 1) All text should be in English, with a maximum of 50 words for the title and 250 words for the text.
※Note 2) The text should be clearly divided into Objective, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion, etc.


Notification of receipt and adoption
If you do not receive a response within five days after sending your abstract, please contact the conference secretariat. Acceptance or rejection of abstracts is scheduled for mid-June.
Please leave the results of the adoption, sessions, etc. to the Chairman.
